Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Welcome to the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC was established to further economic development in the region by fostering the creation and growth of viable small enterprises.The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Northern Kentucky University provides a wide variety of professional consulting and training services to small business owners and prospective small business owners, in the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. In a typical year, the SBDC staff will provide assistance to several thousand individuals through free confidential consulting as well as modestly priced classroom seminars and workshops . The NKU SBDC is part of the 14-center Kentucky SBDC Network and the national, 1400-center ASBDC network. The mission of the center is to further economic development by fostering the creation and growth of viable small enterprises. To this end, the NKU SBDC operates in partnership with area banks, state and local governments and development agencies, local chambers of commerce, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
