Admissions
PROCEDURE
Applicants must submit the following credentials:
1. An Application for Graduate Admission and the application fee (the fee is waived for applicants who have completed a bachelor's or graduate degree from NKU).
2. An official copy of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score report,* and, if applicable, an official copy of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report.
Exceptions to the GMAT include: possession of a Master degree and possession of a MD or
Ph.D.3. Official copies of transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work.

CRITERIA
Applicants are eligible for admission if they have:
1. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale;
2. A score of at least 450 on the GMAT (taken within the last five years) and a score of at least 550 on the TOEFL, or 213 computer test (if applicable); and
3. In addition to meeting the minimum criteria [450 GMAT score and 2.50 GPA] a total of at least 1000 points based on the formula 200 x the undergraduate GPA (4.00 scale) + GMAT score (or) a total of at least 1050 points based on the formula 200 x the undergraduate GPA (4.00 scale) for the last 60 semester hours + GMAT.
* Two years of work experience are strongly recommended but not required.
Note: Exceptions to the GMAT include: possession of a Master degree and possession of a MD or Ph.D.
Individuals holding a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution who desire to pursue graduate study but have not taken the GMAT or have not achieved the requisite score on the GMAT for existing graduate programs may enroll in the graduate unclassified status if certain criteria are met.
Individuals desiring to enroll in this status must:
1) submit the Application and $25.00 fee for Graduate Admission2) possess a minimum 2.50 grade point average from their bachelor's degreer and
3) provide an official copy of all undergraduate and graduate work transcripts to the Office of Admissions.
no more than eight hours of graduate business courses. Students enrolled through the graduate unclassified status are not eligible for student financial assistance, tuition reciprocity, or veterans' benefits, but are eligible for the Metropolitan tuition rate.

If you plan to attend NKU on an F1 or J1 visa, or if your previous degrees were earned at colleges outside the United States, the university will require that you submit additional credentials and meet earlier deadlines.
Complete application deadlines for international students are:Fall semester: June 1
Spring semester: October 1
TRANSFER CREDIT
Transfer credit for courses with grade of “B” or better may be granted for up to 9 semester hours of non-Level I (non-skills courses) course work. Exceptions to this rule will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The MBA Director must evaluate the courses as equivalent to NKU courses. Applications for transfer credit should be submitted to the MBA Director. The application must include the title and edition of the text used and a detailed course description or a course syllabus.
Students or graduates wishing to transfer coursework from the NKU Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) degree program may be granted credit for up to 15 semester hours. These courses may include up to 9 semester hours of MBA cohort courses and up to 6 semester hours of MBA core or M.Acc. Accounting courses at the discretion of the MBA Director.
Please refer to "Transfer Credit" in the Graduate Section of the current NKU Catalog for additional information regarding transfer of graduate credit.Note: Beginning Fall 2002, first time students must complete all course work within 6 years, including any transfer work.
