Why choose the Executive Leadership and Organizational Change Program?


The ELOC program focuses on leadership and organizational change as the key components of effective management.  Today’s leaders face great challenges dealing with complex and changing environments.  This program helps develop competencies needed to succeed in these environments in a format that facilitates success.

The program will help you develop as a leader.  Participants will assess and develop their emotional intelligence leadership competencies throughout the program.

The program will help you develop others as leaders.  Participants will transfer the skills learned from their own personal assessment and development process to coach and develop others.

The program will emphasize organizational change and transformation as key areas for effective leadership and help participant effectively manage organization change and growth.

The program will help you to effectively empower and involve employees. Participant will identify tools for creating a high performance workplace through employee involvement.

The program will focus on strategic leadership competencies.  Effective leaders need to be able to effectively identify and implement strategic decisions.

The program will use an adult-learning framework of ACT which includes the use of Action learning, with a focus on Competency-development, working in a Team- based classroom environment.

The accelerated two-year cohort program will include up to 25 students who will stay together for the duration of the entire program.  The program will meet one weekend a month during each semester (for a total of ten weekends per year) enabling participants from a wide geographic area.

The program will provide convenience and service.  The program office will coordinate all aspects of the program and provide course materials for all participants.  The tuition for the program includes books, activities, and meals for all class meetings.

The program is part of the Haile/US Bank College of Business and thus integrates diverse management concepts and general business concepts as the context for leadership and organizational change.
