J.C. Thompson
Dr. J. C. “Duke” Thompson is Professor of Finance in the Department of Economics & Finance. He has extensive industry experience as a CFO, Chairman, and Corporate Director of several different private-sector companies. His research interests are in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financial markets and institutions, capital budgeting, and corporate ethics. He earned his B.A. at Westminster College, PA, his M.B.A. at Youngstown State University, and his D.B.A. at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Thompson taught at the University of Kentucky, Bowling Green State University, and Eastern Kentucky University before joining NKU.
