Scholarships in the Haile/US Bank College of Business

The Archie V. and Myrtle L. Carrell Scholarship
Purpose: To support a junior or senior student, majoring in management within the Haile/US Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University.
Eligibility: Must be of junior or senior standing; must be a management major in the Haile/US Bank College of Business; must have a minimum gpa of 3.0; must show financial need by completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Distribution: One academic year, excluding summer terms.
Duration: Varies

The Robert H. Castellini Company Endowment Fund Honors Program Scholarship for Business Majors
Purpose: To recognize an outstanding high school graduate who has been accepted to Northern Kentucky University and the NKU Honors Program.
Eligibility: Declared pre-major in a Haile/US Bank College of Business baccalaureate program; accepted for enrollment at NKU; accepted to the NKU Honors Program.
Distribution: One award per year, beginning in 1998-99; amount of award varies.
Duration: One academic year, excluding summer terms.

COMAIR Scholarships


Purpose: To recognize an outstanding student who is a resident of Northern Kentucky.
Eligibility: Declared major in the Haile/US Bank College of Business; minimum of 60 semester hours completed; minimum gpa of 3.25; demonstrated leadership and campus and/or community involvement.
Distribution: Two awards of $1,000 each per year
Duration: One academic year, excluding summer sessions.

DEAN'S Scholarships

Purpose: To recognize and honor outstanding academic accomplishments of students currently enrolled.
Eligibility: Minimum of 60 semester hours completed; minimum gpa of 3.50; declared major (no pre-majors); enrolled a minimum of 18 semester hours over Fall & Spring semesters of application year; full-time student during the award year.
Distribution: Full tuition at in-state rates; number of awards varies.
Duration: One academic year, excluding summer sessions.

FARRIS Scholarships


Purpose: To support students in the Haile/US Bank College of Business.
Eligibility: Must be a degree-seeking student with a major in the Haile/US Bank College of Business. First-time freshmen must have a minimum ACT 25 or equivalent SAT score. Continuing students must have a cumulative gpa of at least 3.0. Other criteria established by major.
Distribution: Varies
Duration: One academic year, excluding summer sessions.

The FEDERATED DEPARTMENT STORES HONORS

Scholarship for Business Majors

Purpose: To recognize an outstanding undergraduate Honors Program student who is majoring (major or pre-major) in a Haile/US Bank College of Business discipline at Northern Kentucky University.
Eligibility: Enrolled at least 12 semester hours at time of application; minimum gpa of 3.5; completed two Honors Program courses; minimum of 30 semester hours completed.
Distribution: One award per year. Initially a one-semester tuition scholarship of $300 or if the student is already the recipient of a tuition scholarship, then a $300 scholarship for educational expenses.
Duration: One semester.

The Robert L. HERMANN Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement


Purpose: To recognize the outstanding academic achievement of an undergraduate student who is majoring (major or pre-major) in a Haile/US Bank College of Business discipline at Northern Kentucky University.
Eligibility: Minimum of 12 semester hours of application semester; minimum gpa of 3.75; minimum of 61 semester hours completed; declared major/pre-major in a Haile/US Bank College of Business baccalaureate program.
Distribution: One award per year; amount varies.
Duration: One academic year, excluding summer.

The Henry J. HOSEA and Roger R. FRANCIS Scholarship Fund


Purpose: To fund annual support of a sophomore in the Haile/US Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University.
Eligibility: Must be accepted for enrollment at NKU; must be a sophomore in the Haile/US Bank College of Business; must have a minimum gpa of 3.0; must be a resident of Boone, Campbell or Kenton County with a preference given to a Campbell County resident.
Distribution: Varies
Duration: One academic year excluding summer sessions.
