Message from the Interim Dean

Welcome to the Haile/US Bank College of Business

In August 2008, thanks to a $15 million donation, the largest single gift in NKU history, we were officially named the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation College of Business. This gift, made possible by and in the memory of local philanthropists, Carol and Ralph Haile, will greatly enhance our capacity to serve the economic development of the region through teaching, scholarship and outreach. The gift supports excellence in faculty, students, and administration with three Endowed Chairs, a Chair in Leadership, a Faculty Development Fund, and a Student Support Fund.

The Haile/US Bank College of Business offers undergraduate programs across the traditional business disciplines as well as specialty programs in Entrepreneurship, Sports Business and Construction Management. Our business degrees are accredited by AACSB-International, and Construction Management is

accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). The professional staff of the College of Business Advising Center delivers quality advising services to our students, and also contributes to the many opportunities for our students to engage with the business community. We offer cooperative education and internships, there are exciting student groups in all majors, and we host two annual events, the Career Fair in the fall and Business Week in the spring, designed to help students prepare for their future careers and to interact with business professionals.

Our graduate programs include the MBA, the Master of Accountancy and our innovative niche executive program - the Master of Leadership and Organizational Change (ELOC).  Over the past year, our MBA program was recognized as one of the best in the U.S. by the Princeton Review in its Best Business Schools.

We have a strong variety of outreach centers to meet the needs of our region including the 5/3 Entrepreneurship Institute, International Business Center, Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, Marketing Research Partnership Program, Center for Economic Education, and the Center for Economic Analysis and Development.

It is my honor to serve as interim Dean of the Haile/US Bank College of Business. This is an exciting time for us as we embark on a search for a new permanent dean. The college will continue as always to serve its various communities by providing the best possible education to its students, by discovering and disseminating knowledge, and by creating partnerships with business and other local organizations so that together we contribute to regional prosperity.
