What is Arbitration?

When mediation fails, the dispute may be taken to arbitration. In arbitration, all parties sign a contract agreeing that they will work with a neutral third party, an arbitrator, to resolve the dispute. At the end of the process the arbitrator renders a decision, made with the cooperation of the parties involved, that is final and binding.
