Meet Our Arbitrators
Rick Bales Professor Rick Bales teaches at Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law. He has authored or co-authored more than forty scholarly articles, most on the subject of employment Alternative Dispute Resolution. Professor Bales has published two books: Compulsory Arbitration, published by Cornell University’s ILR Press in 1997; and Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Workplace, published by West in 2000 with a second edition in 2005. Teressa L. Elliott Teressa L. Elliott, J.D., has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy at Northern Kentucky University since 2003. Her teaching specialty is business law, which she has taught since 1992. Additionally, Ms. Elliott has also practiced law since 1990. Ms. Elliott graduated magna cum laude with a BA from Northern Kentucky University in English with a German minor and received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Learn more... |

Sara L. Sidebottom Sara L. Sidebottom is the Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel, Northern Kentucky University. She has served as an arbitration panel member for over twenty years. In addition Sidebottom has 27 years of experience as an attorney, including 16 years in private practice and eleven years at NKU. Her experience also includes eight years as a public defender, five years as an Assistant County Attorney, and as a District Judge. She has practiced civil and criminal litigation cases as well as labor & employment disputes. Learn more... |
