Andrea Lambert, Mediator

Dr. Lambert is an Assistant Professor of Communication at Northern Kentucky University. She received her Ph.D. in family communication from the University of Denver, her M.A. from Texas Tech University, and her B.A. from the University of Kansas. Her areas of expertise include divorce, stepfamilies, co-parenting, and children’s perception of divorce. She also has general expertise in communication strategies, interpersonal communication, and intercultural issues.
Dr. Lambert’s mediation experience includes the completion of a 40-hour family mediation training course and co-mediation training at the Boone County Justice Center in Burlington, Kentucky. Her mediation expertise lies with mediating family disputes and other systemic family issues such as truancy, divorce, and co-parenting agreements. Dr. Lambert has an active research program examining divorce and blended family communication. She has a forthcoming article in the Journal of Divorce & Remarriage, and has presented over 20 competitively selected papers at international, national, and regional conferences.
